COMMON QUESTIONS

A few useful answers

About access, sources and study paths.

Do I need an account to browse?

The homepage and directories are open to browse. Course details, instructor profiles, subject content, study paths and journal articles lead to the account sign-in page.

Are lectures and assignments hosted here?

Course details link to the original materials. Videos, notes and assignments remain on provider websites, which determine their availability and access conditions.

How should I choose a first course?

Start with prerequisites, then read the topics. Without programming experience, begin with an introductory course. With a foundation in place, use subject pages and study paths to continue.

Are study paths university programs?

Study paths are editorial suggestions based on course content and prerequisites. They do not award degrees, credit or certificates. Consult each provider for formal arrangements.

Why do versions and instructors differ?

Courses may change their materials and teaching teams between academic years. The directory identifies a listed version, while providers may update their websites. Check term information before you begin.

How are sign-in details handled?

Sign-in input is handled only within the current browser page and is not sent to or stored on the website server. See Account help on the sign-in page for account-related questions.
